How to save stories on Instagram
Here are some ways by which you can download your Instagram story anytime
Instagram stories usually come with an expiration date and disappear after 24 hours of uploading them. But that doesn't mean they have to go away forever.
You can use several methods to save your Instagram stories. The best method will depend on how you want to save them and how you want to use them once you've saved them.
Only you have access to your collection. None of your followers can see it - unless they have your account login information.
By now, you're probably wondering where the Instagram archive is located. First, we'll show you how to search the Archive in the app:
- Open your Instagram app.
- Tap your profile picture icon in the lower-right corner of the screen.
- Tap on the three horizontal lines at the top-right of the screen.
- Select Collection.
- Next to Glossary in the top-center of the screen, tap Down Arrow Down Arrow.
- Choose stories.
Now that you know where to find your collection, let's take a look at how to save your Instagram stories to a collection:
- Open Instagram app.
- Tap your profile picture icon in the lower-right corner of the screen.
- Tap on the three horizontal lines at the top-right of the screen.
- Navigate to Settings > Privacy > Stories.
- Scroll down to the Saving section.
- Toggle on the Save to Archive option.
How to download existing Instagram story
Downloading a current Instagram Story — as it still appears in the top-left of your home screen and on your profile — is just as easy as downloading previous stories. How to do this:
- Open your Instagram app.
- To access your current stories, press your profile's icon at the top-left of the homepage screen.
- Tap the More button at the bottom-right of the screen.
- Select Save...
- Select Save Story.
Doing so will save your entire Instagram story as a single photo or video to your camera roll.
